An American Airlines flight had to make an unscheduled landing last week, after an unruly passenger refused to stop singing Whitney Houston songs.
Flight 22 departed Los Angeles International Airport bound for New York’s JFK last Thursday afternoon.
According to reports, shortly after the plane took off, a woman began singing the Whitney Houston song, “I Will Always Love You”.
Flight attendants asked her to stop, but she refused.
The flight made it about halfway across the country before the singing became unbearable and a federal air marshal intervened.
The air marshal subdued and cuffed the woman, and the flight crew diverted the plane to Kansas City Airport.
The woman was removed from the flight and interviewed by police, but she was released without being charged.
She blamed the outburst on her diabetes.
The flight continued on to New York City without the Whitney impersonator a few hours later.
