The Occupy protesters won’t like this. This is definitely for the 1%.
Aspen is offering an “Ultimate Ski Pass,” which gives up to 18 buyers unlimited runs on brand new ski season trails. No lift lines, no newbies in your way. Just you and the mountain.
Total cost: $25,000.
A normal full-season pass costs up to $1,900.
But dropping $25-grand on a ski pass gets you more than just access to pristine runs.
Buyers get to meet the U.S. Women’s Ski Team when they race at Aspen over Thanksgiving, and the’ll also get to have breakfast with U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association president Bill Marolt.
This isn’t the first year they’ve offered the pass. And in the past, Aspen hasn’t come close to selling all 18 passes.
Usually they sell just two or three. For the upcoming season, they’ve sold just one so far.
For what it’s worth, Aspen has pledged to donate the extra money from the Ultimate Ski Pass fee to help either Aspen schools or World Cup Racing events.
