Buy A Jetpack For $100,000… Yes, Really!
Tue, Nov 23, 2010
Our dreams have come true!
The Martin Aircraft Company has announced that recreational jetpacks will soon go on sale for $100,000.
There’s no word on how safe they will be, how fast they will go, how high they will go or how long a flight will a last… but who cares!? This is great news.
We can finally go to all those strange places and remote destinations — all for the price of an RV.
Seriously, put that into perspective. You could buy an RV for $100,000… or you could buy a jetpack for $100,000.
Sure, the RV has a kitchen, beds and airbags, and the jetpack doesn’t. But the jetpack can fly! So suck on that RV.
The company says they’re “trying to make the world’s easiest-to-fly aircraft” and they hope their jetpack will become the Segway of the sky.
Maybe that’s not the best title considering the owner of Segway died by driving a Segway off a cliff. And Segways are way less dangerous — and slower — than personal jetpacks. So let’s hope for the best.
Just a reminder to our lovely readers that Christmas is coming up… hint, hint.
