We finally made it to San Francisco! I don't know what we're more proud of: arriving in only 6 hours, or not stopping to pee. If we had to summarize the first leg of our road trip in one word, it would be "COWS."

Seattle to Sacramento is a 12-hour drive, plus it could be raining. But flights are expensive. As long as you have enough Lady Gaga to keep you awake for the drive... and tire chains... go for it!

This is funny because I'm considering leaving Vancouver tonight to drive to a meditation retreat in Sacramento. Well, I'm thinking but not sure about driving. My plan was to drive from here to Seattle, stay at a cousin's house, and head out early Friday morning from Seattle. I was planning (not sure if this is realistic) to stop over for lunch in Portland or Eugene, and then straight to Sacramento. The retreat starts on Friday evening. Do you think I should do it, or should I just fly? I love road trips.
