On our last day in Berlin, we visited the second largest department store in Europe, went inside a church that's still standing after it was bombed in WWII, and ate at a food stall in a Christmas Market.

The HAL-like TV Tower seems to watch your every move in Berlin. Today we got to see what it sees from 669 feet above ground. And that was before we wandered down a strange alley with mechanical creatures.

Central Prague is divided into five smaller towns with New Town being the largest and most spread out, but that shouldn’t be a deterrent. There are some great sights in New Town, including a bullet-riddled church, the oldest microbrewery in Prague, and an unusual building that looks like it’s dancing.

The Lesser Quarter is the best district in Prague to appreciate old world splendor. The district has been relatively untouched for centuries, providing a great snapshot of historically authentic Prague. In other words, expect lots of churches, palaces and parks.

It was Christmas Eve in Prague and we knew most attractions would be closed. But we figured our one stronghold would be the Jewish Quarter. We were wrong.

Prague entertains a plethora of world-class concert halls, many in old, opulent churches. During the Christmas season, most of these concert halls have performances a few times a day. We attended a Christmas concert at the Klementinum in Old Town Prague.

Many of Budapest’s most treasured attractions are located in Leopold Town and Inner City. In this compact and easily walkable area, history and modernism complement each other. Even the fast food restaurants look like something out of a history book.
